(1) When opening the propylene oxide container, make sure the working area is well ventilated and no spark or ignition source exists; avoid letting the released vapour enter the air in the working area. (2) Propylene oxide should be stored separately from oxidizers, acids, alkali metals, etc., do not mix storage. Use explosion-proof lighting and ventilation facilities. Prohibit the use of spark-prone machinery and tools. The storage area should be equipped with emergency treatment equipment for leaks and suitable shelter materials. Set cofferdam around the propylene oxide storage tank, the volume of which is equal to the volume of the storage tank.
